We start with a free 20-minute call. You tell us about your business, your current setup, and what’s been keeping you up at night. We’ll let you know if we’re a fit.

If you don’t have Xero yet, we set it up from scratch. If you do, we audit it, clean it up, and get it ready to run smoothly. No mess, no rework later.

We connect your bank feeds, import your historical data if needed, and walk you through how we’ll work together. By the end of week one, you’re set up and running.

Every week, we reconcile, categorise and review your transactions. Every month, you get a clean report and a short summary of what it actually means for your business.

No — if you don’t have Xero, we set it up for you as part of onboarding. If you already use another platform, we can use it or migrate over to Xero before we start the weekly work. It is your call.
We connect through Xero, email, and occasional video calls. You don’t need to send us anything manually — Xero pulls your transactions directly from the bank, and we take it from there. Expect a short weekly update and a monthly summary report.
Most small businesses need between 2 and 6 hours per week. The exact number depends on your transaction volume, number of bank accounts, and whether you invoice clients through Xero. We give you a clear estimate after the discovery call.
No — Hello Books focuses exclusively on bookkeeping. We work closely with your accountant, though, and make sure they receive clean, well-organised books at tax time. If you don’t have an accountant yet, we can recommend someone.
That’s one of the most common situations we see. We start with a cleanup phase — reviewing, reclassifying, and reconciling what’s already in Xero (or migrating it in cleanly). You’ll have one clear starting point before we begin the weekly work.
No long contracts. We work on a month-to-month basis because we believe in earning your business every single month. If it’s not working for either of us, we part as friends.
